4,000.00

Welcome to the “Staghead Mine”! The mine is home to our hand-selected collection of ethically sourced, extremely unique and rare gemstones. These stones were curated because they cannot be found anywhere else and possess outstanding qualities that deserve to be highlighted by truly custom rings!

Start with your stone! Purchasing a one-of-a-kind stone from the mine will reserve that stone, allowing you to design the ring of your dreams around a once-in-a-lifetime stone and create a truly meaningful symbol of your love!

Shortly after purchasing, you will be emailed by Jen, our custom ring designer, to get started on the design of your dream ring. Once you have finalized your design with Jen, please note that custom commissioned rings always have the possibility of taking longer than our standard 8 week lead time as designing a new ring takes time and extra care to ensure we can make the ring you have envisioned come to life.

The stone price below includes a 14K gold solitaire mounting or $400 towards your ring setting! Remember that you get to design the ring of your dreams and though some setting and material choices you make will increase the final cost of your design, you will have $400 of credit going towards your perfect band!

This 3.26ct cushion cut Natural Sapphire measures 6.2mm x 8.3mm and presents with stunning mint toned blue colors in natural light, while presenting with darker tones, pale green with gray undertones, in darker and indoor lighting.

As people become more aware of how common and generally unethical diamonds are, the desire for more unique stones to represent individuality are becoming increasingly popular. This desire will eventually lead to the value of sapphires exceeding diamonds.

Natural, untreated sapphires usually have more inclusions than heat treated sapphires. These inclusions are not only proof that the stone is untreated but add a unique character, making your stone extra unique.

In the past it was believed that the purest blue was the best color option. Over time, as the desire for natural sapphires grows, so does the demand for the wide arrangement of muted shades of blue.

This stone is photographed in professional studio lighting that mimics natural sunlight of 5500 degrees kelvin and videoed outdoors in natural sunlight.

For care and cleaning we strongly recommend using soapy water and a soft brush as the most trustworthy way to clean your sapphire jewelry. Ultrasonic and Steam cleaners are usually safe options as well.

This sapphire has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs’ scale. The Mohs’ Scale is a system used to grade the hardness of minerals ranging from 1-10. For reference, diamonds are rated 10 on the Mohs’ scale, as they are the hardest mineral and can only be scratched by other diamonds. Talc has a rating on 1 on the Mohs’ Scale and can be easily scratched and crushed.
