Remember that you get to design the ring of your dreams and though some setting and material choices you make will increase the final cost of your design, you will have $400 of credit going towards your perfect band!

This 8mm x 6mm tanzanite was mined in Kilimanjaro and cannot be found anywhere else on Earth, making it a very treasured and unique stone. It is known as a Fancy Color Tanzanite. While most tanzanite is known for their deep Royal Blue tones, this stone has become popular for its color changing ability, giving off 3 different color hues. In the natural light, this stone gives off a delicate periwinkle, sky blue, and sea foam green while presenting darker hues of teal and aqua when in indoor lighting.

These stones are found in limited quantities and are very rare. It is believed that supplies will only last another 15-20 years as it is a “Single Generation Gemstone”, which means any that are acquired will most definitely increase in value and become an heirloom to pass on for generations to come.

This stone is photographed in professional studio lighting that mimics natural sunlight of 5500 degrees kelvin and videoed outdoors in natural sunlight. This stone as been gently heat treated as is normal with Fancy Tanzanite.

For care and cleaning we strongly recommend Ionic cleaners and/or warm, soapy water with a soft brush as the most trustworthy way to clean your tanzanite jewelry. Please avoid Ultrasonic or Steam cleaners. We also suggest avoiding extreme heat as it has the potential to harm the color variation of your stone. To be safe, remove your tanzanite jewelry while enjoying a soak in the hot tub or steam in the sauna! You will also want to avoid strong household chemicals and cleaners such as bleach.

This stone has a hardness of 6-7 on the Mohs’ scale. The Mohs’ Scale is a system used to grade the hardness of minerals ranging from 1-10. For reference, diamonds are rated 10 on the Mohs’ scale, as they are the hardest mineral and can only be scratched by other diamonds. Talc has a rating on 1 on the Mohs’ Scale and can be easily scratched and crushed.
